We also help reunite separated families and promote safe practices in areas affected by explosive hazards. Guided by principles of neutrality, impartiality and independence, the ICRC advocates for the protection of civilians through the promotion of International Humanitarian Law (IHL), engaging with authorities, security forces, and academic institutions.
